The Pop Outs are a branch of the Club aimed mainly for Club members who have retired or do not have to work on Thursdays.  There is usually a Pop Out once every 3 weeks starting at 10.30am (starting point to be from the Club house at Rushmere Sports Centre). The ride is normally around 40 miles finishing at a pub or restaurant for lunch.

If you wish to join in these rides you must phone the ride leader before 9.30am on the morning of the ride.

Who is the leader, and their phone number, can be found on the "Whats On " page of the Review.

If you do not have a review please email for details of the next Popout.

Pop Out Xmas Lunch Weeping Willow, Barrow, BSE.  December 19th 2013

Well it`s that time of year again, time for our Christmas Pop Out. As usual, this lunch run is planned and arranged by Fred Cotton. For several years now Fred has set up a really nice day out for us, this year was certainly no exception. Fifteen of us left the club on our bikes with Lennie in his car in really nice sunny weather and headed directly to The Cedars Hotel in Stowmarket for a coffee stop where Alan, Ron, Phil, Frank and Pat Sloan were waiting for us when we arrived. After coffee we headed along the A14 turning off just the other side of Bury St. Edmunds for The Weeping Willow at Barrow. On arrival at the pub we found Peter Frank Eric and Bob waiting for us, John from Bures had unfortunately had to cancel owing to illness, there should also have been seven friends from Essex there, but unfortunately one of them broke down and the others were delayed either looking for him or helping him, however eventually all arrived in time for the excellent lunch served very well by the landlady and her staff. The meal was followed by coffee and Lou our only regular female Pop Out rider had made two Christmas cakes to celebrate the occasion, thank you Lou it was very kind of you and the cakes were delicious.
Thank you Fred, we are all very aware that these trips are only successful because of the amount of work and planning that you put into them.
