Riding During the Pandemic

Triangle Motorcycle Club Ė Riding under Covid-19 Regulations up to 21st June 2021

So we are back to the pre-covid  procedures with one notable exception. The Rushmere Sports Centre Clubhouse will not be re-opening until September Term 2021.

The big change is increasing the outdoor socialising rule from 6 people to become up to 30 people. This means we can organise to meet up before a ride in a group up to 30, conduct a large ride and meet together to socialise outdoors as one large group.  If, at the end of a ride, you want to socialise indoors then the hospitality provider (pub landlord, cafe owner etc) must be happy to accept multiple groups of 6 people in a social group, and this will be purely at their discretion. The formal club ride will end outdoors at the destination point and it will be up to individuals how they choose to socialise if they want to proceed indoors.

This means all Ride Outs will now start from:-
AppleGreen Service Station, Ipswich, IP4 5QN

Club Ride-Outs will once again be:-

Wednesday Evenings - Depart 7.30pm Applegreen Service Station, No need book as no food catering to organise. Just turn up and ride.
Ride Leader Neale Harrison

Thursday Pop-Outs - every third Thursday, Depart 10.30am Applegreen Service Station. You can just turn up and ride, however if you want to be included in food etc for coffee and lunch stops, then you must contact the Ride Leader the day before so that numbers can be pre-arranged for catering.
Ride leader will rotate each Pop-Out amongst the regular Pop-Out riders. Dates, Ride Leader name and phone number are published in The Review magazine and name only on the clubs website www.trianglemcc.co.uk. Generally the club's Facebook page will be updated with dates. Contact Martin Grimes with any queries.
The Review will next  be published beginning July for future Pop-Out details. Meanwhile the Lead riders for May/June are:

May 27th  - Ride Leader David Nunn
June 17th - Ride Leader Bob Kempson
Please ring the day before, phone numbers in the review,  if you want to book catering for Coffee Stop/Lunch Stop

Sunday Breakfast or Lunch Runs - Pre announced to all members by email from Tony Cole. This will include start time and meeting point. This is usually Applegreen Service Station, with Breakfast runs starting at 9.00am and Lunch runs starting at 11.00am. Tony will need a pre-ride phone call if you want to book a place for breakfast/lunch at the hospitality venue.
By June 21st all these rules should have gone away. Just bear with us in the interim, and letís all look forward to a great spring and summer of riding this year.
